RMI’s strategic focus, sharpened in 2009, weaves together much of their energy work of the past 27 years plus further innovations, and applies their discovery of how integrative design can achieve expanding, not diminishing, returns to investments in advanced energy efficiency. RMI calls this strategic focus “Reinventing Fire” - mapping and driving the profitable transition from oil and coal to efficiency and renewables. This transformational shift can bring an oil-free world, a stabilized climate, nuclear nonproliferation, less poverty, more stability, and durable prosperity. RMI works extensively with the private sector, as well as with civil society and government, to create abundance by design and to apply the framework of natural capitalism. Visit: http://www.rmi.org

Kimbal Musk blogs on Colorado's soldout Cleantech Awards Event: "our secret sauce is Ira Ehrenpreis, keynote speaker"
OneRiot's Kimbal Musk is a founding board member of the Colorado Cleantech Industry Association. Read from his blog about Colorado Cleantech and the CCIA's upcoming awards event:
"At the celebration event where we announce the winners, we've invited a close friend and business associate of mine, Ira Ehrenpreis of Palo Alto's Technology Partners, to speak. He's called a Venture Capital Visionary and a Cleantech Expert in his bio, and I can attest that it's all true and much, much more. As a board member of Tesla Motors, I've worked closely with him, experiencing his broad knowledge and keen business and cleantech acumen. It's no mystery to me why our event was sold out two weeks in advance -- the 'secret sauce' was being fortunate enough to have Ira Ehrenpreis as our keynote speaker."
